When we stop demanding one kind of answer, we start seeing how God has been answering all along. Prayer is at the center of our spiritual life, but many of us struggle with one question: Did God answer me?
Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to me and I will answer you.” The issue is usually that God is not silent. The issue is how we interpret His answer.
We often expect lightning from heaven, instant miracles, or immediate change. But God’s answers don’t always look dramatic. Sometimes His answer shows up as
- A process that makes you stronger
- Pressure that reveals what’s really in your heart
- A delay that protects you from bad timing
- Development that builds your character
- A person who steps into your life at the right moment
When we stop looking for only one type of answer, we begin to see that God has been responding all along.
The next key idea is alignment.
1 John 5:14–15 says we can have confidence when we ask according to God’s will. That confidence doesn’t come from hype. It comes from being aligned with God.
Instead of saying, “God, bless my plan,” we begin to pray, “God, show me Your plan.”
Jesus showed us this in the garden when He prayed, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” That word “nevertheless” changes everything. It teaches us how to handle a “yes” from God.
This is because a “yes” from God is not just permission, but also a responsibility.
When God says yes:
- You must manage what He gives you.
- You must walk with integrity.
- You must have courage.
- You must develop character.
A divine yes creates assignments, not just applause.
This leads to strategic prayer.
Instead of vague prayers like “Lord bless me,” we begin asking:
- What do You want me to do?
- How do You want me to do it?
- When do You want me to move?
Prayer becomes focused. It becomes intentional. We stop trying to control the outcome and start obeying the instruction.
When you align with God, things begin to flow. Provision shows up. Grace carries what used to feel heavy. Doors open—but you still have to walk through them.
Finally, we can’t ignore the power of UNITY
Praying together builds faith. Encouraging one another builds strength. Serving together builds purpose. Many times, God answers prayers through people—through their hands, their words, their generosity, and their love.
Instructions:
- Call on Him.
- Listen closely.
- Align your will.
- Be ready to act.
Expect God to answer. Be ready to steward the yes. And trust that even when the answer is training you, it is still working for you.
